Other Raw Creations

Some other raw recipes I like I picked up in Fiji and from Victoria Boutenko's videos. A dessert I picked up in Fiji and modified is,

Raw Strawberry Shortcake
Soaked Almonds
Sliced Strawberries
Dates
Honey

Blend 2 handfuls of soaked almonds, 4 pitless dates, and some honey in the blender. Then put in a small dish and add a handful of sliced strawberries on top. Let it sit over night in the frig and it will taste like a Strawberry Shortcake by the next day!

Raw Milk
Soaked Almonds
Soaked Macadamia Nuts
Filtered Water
Honey

Blend all ingredients together in a blender then drain. You now have your self raw milk to eat your cereal. Chill over night if you prefer cold milk.

I know the idea of raw food sounds tasteless, but if it's done right with practice it is very flavorful and healthy! I started out juicing and expanded to what I call fancy salads, which just means a variety of veggies and nuts that I add to my salads, changing my salads around every day to avoid getting bored. What I am finding is that juices and salads are not enough for me. So I am looking for new raw recipes that fill me up and are easy to make. If anyone knows of any feel free to share!

At the moment my favoriteRaw Food Restaurant is Terra Bella in Redondo Beach! I have yet to have a bad meal. I tried Leaf Cuisine once and the experience was not so good so I have not returned. My diet is not fully raw, I still eat cooked foods. If I could find a raw food restaurant on every corner like the way McDonald's is every 5 miles I'd eat more of it! Wheat grass shots! Don't knock them until you try them.
